Paper Veins has been a band since November 2012. The band became acquainted with each other through mutual friends and began playing music with each other instantly. The band’s influences help them create original music that covers quite a few different genres, including punk, emo, rock, alternative, indie, and hardcore. In March 2013, Paper Veins started playing shows all over Northern Ohio. In the month of May, Paper Veins traveled to Newark, Ohio to record their debut EP entitled “8 Hours”. The EP was recorded at Vero Studios with Logan Williams behind the board. After three weeks of mixing and mastering, the EP was released on June 1st. Recently the band has opened for Skid Row and many other bands from all around the country. Paper Veins current projects include writing and recording a one song split with Could Have Beens (also from Norwalk, Ohio), releasing their EP on vinyl and cassette through Driftwood Records, and playing an abundant amount of shows all around Ohio. In the fall of 2013 the band plans on writing new original music that will be recorded at Vero Studios in the winter of 2013. Paper Veins’ current goals are to get signed to a label large enough to give them the amount of exposure that they are searching for. Other goals include playing shows in other states, going on a small tour with other local bands, all while having fun and gaining a good amount of exposure in whatever town that the band plays in.
